Hello, my name is McHale Burgess, and I am from Holland, Massachusetts.
When I was applying to college, I intended on majoring in architecture. Having studied architecture in high school, I did not plan on changing my major. However, during the admitted students’ day at Keene, this plan changed. While exploring campus with Kylie (another student in the show), I was drawn to the Media Arts Center. After meeting some professors, I found myself questioning my commitment to architecture during my drive back home. Changing my major to graphic design was the best choice for me; I haven’t looked back. My time at Keene State has challenged me in many ways: academically, professionally, socially, and personally. With this challenge, I have grown and changed into the person I am now. Throughout my college career, my graphic design style has come into its own. My proudest accomplishments have been working as a Building Manager in the Student Center and designing informational flyers for the Wellness Center in my summer internship. I will always cherish my time here and will always call Keene my home. Go Owls!
